World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The upgrade option lets players boost an item's gear rating up 700 points, and then give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory and heading to the kiln.
Certain items can be upp'd to benefit from their unique stats (like a perfectly broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) while others like weapons don't change much post upgrade and thus aren't worth upgrading.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to improve their numeric stats, such as damage to attack, crit chance PvE and damage from PvP. Weapons also have a flat bonus that increases their damage per second. Additionally some weapons come with a set bonus which is activated when three or more of the same weapon is present on a unit. In certain instances, this bonus could add up to more than the amount of damage a weapon can sustain by itself.
The cost of upgrading a weapon varies on its rarity and current level. For instance, a +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while the +3 model requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will increase until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.
Upgrades to weapons will also change the stats of their base. This is usually a positive aspect, but it may also have negative effects. Upgrades can make things inaccessible, unless you're exceptionally lucky.

Upgrades can be made to armor items to boost their effectiveness. This can boost the defense of a chest or helm while belts and gloves will boost their required strength and agility. Armor has a rerolling feature for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it may roll down to a lower value.
The upgrade template for a weapon shows the new stats it will get when upgraded and their relative values. This means that an upgrade from an 8 attack-damage sword to an 11 attack-damage sword will result in a weapon gaining 3% of attack damage. However, the 3% doesn't mean that it will strike for 3 fewer times, since it is an absolute statistic.
Rerolling a weapon is possible by pressing the green button within the item menu, using the arrows that circle. This will reroll the item and alter its stats however, it will not reset the weapon's level or bind to account status.
Armor
Making a few improvements to your armor can make an enormous difference in your capacity to withstand. Certain sets can provide MASSIVE improvements in the resistance to poison, curses fire, magic, and other. This can make it easier to navigate difficult areas. In general, the greater defense you have for your character, the more health you'll get from each point. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade your armor.
You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four in total each of which requires you to complete a specific side-quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've done the main side quest and have completed the fountain in question you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy to open up the menu for upgrading your armor.
The amount of material needed to upgrade each piece of armor will vary. In general, you'll be looking at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu Jellies and ten Rupees for the initial upgrade, then anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent upgrade. For instance, the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep up with a good-sized group of enemies in the majority of cold climates, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded to +20 defense, giving you enough protection to withstand an entire raid with a few friends.
Be aware that armor can't be upgraded in the same manner as weapons, so you'll have to work on upgrading it for physical power if you're Warrior or Spell Power if you're Mage. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades to use for armor you'll be wearing at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you wear to fight the final boss and the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.
You can also gain advantages to your armor by presenting the jeweler at Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. Generally, you'll want to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer However, it is beneficial to have a few upgrades of the chest armor and helmets that allow you to stealth around some monsters.
Potions
Potions are substances in bottles that, if consumed, give the user the illusion of status for a few minutes. There are five types of potions with different effects and durations. Some potions may be upgraded, increasing the effectiveness of their effects. Alternatively the effects of certain potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust them.
Upgrades to potion require a certain amount of XP. This can be earned through crafting them on a craft table or by placing them in the Alchemist chest. The cost of upgrading varies based on the type of potion as well as the item's rarity as well as Mark Level.
To upgrade a potions simply right-click on it in your inventory. Then select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open a GUI where you can select the potions you wish to upgrade and the amount of XP they will yield when upgraded. Upgrades to potions can be made in batches of up to five at a time, and the XP they earn will be added to your current XP level.
Once a poton is upgraded and stored, it will not degrade in the event that you use it again or break the bottle within the container it is kept. You can also rename the potion by clicking it in your inventory.
Version 1.7.2 brought a few changes to the way potions are used. For example splash potions now have the duration of zero,08 seconds (this is not the same as the 22.5 seconds shown on the item hover display). The table of potion now made of four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Unlike the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions cannot be combined in cauldrons. Additionally, using a potentio on a full cauldron drains the contents and replenishes the bottle.
Finally, there are lingering potions that are made with dragon breath and splash potions. In the same way, a lingering potion' effect is extended by adding redstone to it. The table of potions is laid out more in line with the Java Edition, and new potions were added such as potion of leaping, decomposition potion, and turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket is an ornament that is small and inexpensive or piece of jewelry. It may also refer to an object or ornament that serves a purpose but is not particularly significant like a trinket. In some cultures a trinket is a way to express affection or friendship between family members.
Trinkets can be upgraded by players in addition to weapons, armor, and potions. Upgrades can be purchased by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets unlike other items that can be upgraded, can be exchanged at any time without losing stats.
The upgrade vendors can be found in major cities and in the capital of each zone, as well as in in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of a rare trinket.
The upgrade of a trinket can be an affordable alternative to buying an entirely new one. You can upgrade a trinket for as little as 12 tokens. item upgrader will come with the same base ilvl of the old one, and will include an additional 1% upgrade bonus.
Trinkets can be re-upgraded once they're no longer useful which allows a player to increase their power and worth over time. They can be traded between players which makes them a good alternative to gold.
Players must upgrade their most valuable items first. This usually means the best-in-slot items for their class, followed by their secondaries, and finally other pieces of gear that will not be replaced in the near future (for instance an earring or cloak). It is also important to consider your class's preferred stats when choosing which items to upgrade. For instance when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tankers, they should be focusing on upgrading their helm, chest, shoulders, and belt.
Once they have become useless, trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level. The upgraded trinket will give you an additional 1% bonus. Re-upgrading will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it can be saved using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, but is still cheaper than buying an entirely new trinket.
